LIFE ENRICHMENT DEPARTMENT
The Life Enrichment Department offers diverse programs to support residents' physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being. We provide both group and one-on-one activities tailored to individual needs, including musical entertainment, ice cream socials, Judaic programming, healing services, arts and crafts, Bingo, intergenerational programs, holiday celebrations, current events, field trips, library and computer classes, birthday parties, movies, and patio picnics.
RELIGIOUS PROGRAMMING + ACTIVITIES
Jewish tradition is central to life at King David, but we warmly welcome individuals of all faiths and backgrounds. We provide a diverse range of Jewish cultural, educational, religious, and spiritual programming, including celebrations of Jewish holidays and Shabbat. We invite you, your family, visitors, and friends to participate in our activities. Our rabbi is available for conversations and visits. Non-Jewish residents are also welcome to join all our programming, and we offer Christian worship services and visits from representatives of various denominations.
DINING
Recognizing the importance of quality food for well-being, we strive to prepare and serve meals and snacks that are both delicious and nutritious. As a kosher facility, King David ensures that all dining areas, kitchens, and pantries are certified kosher by Cleveland Kosher, upholding the highest standards of kashrut. We observe dietary laws and provide three meals a day, along with evening snacks, while accommodating special diets as needed. Don't miss a visit to Pierre's Ice Cream Parlor for a delicious treat, proudly run by our very own residents.
PEARL'S PLACE
Pearl's Place is a bistro located right off our lobby! We offer a wide menu selection that will spark excitement in your taste buds. Choose from a variety of breakfast items including flavored coffees, bagels and pastries to sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads for lunch. Additionally, there are a variety of beverages, chips, cookies, candy and ice cream to choose from. Call 216.910.2480 for hours.
THE SHOPPE
Located right off of the lobby, The Shoppe has a number of moderately priced gift items including clothing, bathrobes, pajamas, jewelry, purses, socks, accessories and much more! Residents, family members and staff alike enjoy browsing through The Shoppe and picking out that perfect item. Call 216.910.2483 for store hours. Credit cards accepted.
BEAUTY + BARBER SALON
Our full-service beauty and barber salon is located on the first floor near the elevators. The salon offers haircuts, shampoos and sets, blow-drying, perms, highlighting and color, waxing and manicures. Please call 216.910.2478 to set up an appointment or ask your social worker or unit secretary if you need assistance. Salon services must be paid for with cash, check, or your resident trust account at the time of the services.
INTERPRETATION SERVICES
Through our partnership with Language Line Solutions, we now have access to interpretation services for any foreign language 24/7. Let us know if you need language assistance.
OUTDOOR GARDENS + COURTYARD
Our beautifully landscaped gardens provide residents, visitors, families, and friends with vibrant experiences featuring colorful foliage, sculptures, and a striking granite fountain. The accessible, year-round courtyard serves as a relaxing outdoor retreat, complete with a dining patio, umbrella tables, and chairs to foster socialization and intergenerational interactions. Children can enjoy the wooden climbing gym and slide while shade trees, paved pathways, lush flower beds, bird baths, and feeders create an inviting atmosphere for gatherings.
